I miss writing music. Its been at least 2 or 3 months since I had time to sit and write for myself (or work on teaching myself guitar and piano) I just don't know where the inspiration went. Is there a way to recapture it?
I hear you, Cassie! It sure seems like it comes and goes, peaks and flows and then stops. Inspiration comes either when I'm over-the-top busy and can't write it or type it (although I've learned to always be prepared ~ pen and paper always near or my cell phone), but it also seems to come when there's calm in my soul even when my surroundings are chaotic. Inspiration when it comes, I've learned to treasure and make the most of it because doesn't it always seem so fleeting? Maybe that's why I consider it a gift because you just never really know when it will come. But when it does, it's just a beautiful thing. Just wait for it Cassie and your inspiration will come again, it always does. Sometimes it's a lot like waiting on God.
